Summary Of Functions

Assistant Project Managers are responsible for supporting Project Managers in the timely and cost-effective completion of utility-scale solar energy projects. As such, Project Managers serve as the primary responsible party for all project-related activities from completion of development through to commercial operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the PM to provide overall management direction to substantial photovoltaic power plants (solar) construction projects.
  • Accountable to deliver finished project, meeting objectives defined by delivery schedule, budget compliance and adherence to workplace policies.
  • Serves as company liaison with client contacts as well as contracted construction resources.
  • Provides administrative direction to on-site construction manager(s).
  • Ensures that all applicable codes, standards, and good construction practices are followed.
  • May manage multiple smaller projects or serve as top on-site manager for a single large, extensive project.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


  • Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power Generation
  • Demonstrated at least 3 years of related work experience
  • Strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication
  • Computer literacy
  • Degree in related field from an accredited 4-year university
