Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create cost code structure & Allocate Budget
  • Set up tracking systems from templates in excel
  • Track and Analyze project cost & progress
  • Cost and progress reports sent out weekly
  • Create RFI’s and Maintain log
  • Create Change Order estimates with input from Superintendent
  • Compile Change Order packages
  • Attend various meetings with customers
  • Subcontract management
  • Conduct project forecast meetings
  • Compile billing packages
  • Work with Scheduler to update project schedule
  • Conduct weekly job audits
  • Oversee Timekeeper execution of duties


  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Cost Control preferably in construction.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel on short notice across Southern California
  • Variable working hours from 40 to 60 hours a week based on project schedule
  • Primavera P6 experience a plus
