Pacific City Infrastructure Project

Location: Orange County, Southern California

Development of a 31.5 acre parcel of land adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway. The project included widening the four surrounding streets, including all traffic signal and street lighting work. Several connections to the existing sewer, water, and storm drain system were completed and then these underground services ran into the site for development.

Sewer lines included 2,950 linear feet of 6, 8, and 12-inch pipe and 19 manholes 48 to 72-inches in diameter. 2,734 linear feet of 36 and 42-inch storm drain pipes were installed as well as two detention basins (one @ 20 X 100’ and 20 X 50’), and 16 catch basins. Water line installation included 5,128 linear feet of 6, 12, and 18-inch lines and 20 fire hydrants. A 48-inch direct bore and jack crossed the Pacific Coast Highway. High groundwater conditions required extensive dewatering, large storm drainage filter systems were installed to filter and treat the water before it left the site.
